After conducting a careful usability study of the existing website, netAttention designed and developed a new standards compliant site coupled to Aurora Infomaxim - a flexible platform for powering ecommerce websites. The new site takes advantage of the increased screen real-estate of modern desktops, and follows web standards to ensure a great user experience.
We've used AJAX to make the shopping process smoother, with less screen refreshes and improved usability. We've also provided Google with a direct feed of new products and content from the site through XML sitemaps, straight from Aurora's publishing process.

Following a detailed analysis of the previous website's usability,
netAttention was contracted to design and develop a brand new

The new site includes many interface improvements, standards compliant xHTML/CSS and a much more sophisticated set of publishing tools.
The site has also been extensively tuned to achieve good search engine visibility, including automated sitemaps, RSS feeds, a Google News feed and search friendly-URLs. With visitor numbers continuing to climb, GadgetGuy has exciting plans for the integration of social media capabilities in the new future, with direct support for managing comments and ratings integrated into the Aurora CMS.
